Education and down payment assistance for first time home buyers

We call it “The Home Program”. This is a program designed to educate first time home buyers, and hook them up with industry people who care. Not to mention the fact that the program offers a grant for down payment assistance. I feel fortunate to now be a part of this amazing program.

We will be putting on regular seminars partnered with lawyers, home inspectors, mortgage brokers and of course ourselves as REALTORS. Attendees will be educated for about 6 hours total (typically two 3 hour sessions with breaks). Those who attend will qualify for down payment assistance of up to $3000 depending on combined household income. That is $500 per hour. Not too shabby no matter what your annual income might be.

In my opinion, the best value comes from the amount you will learn by attending the program. The people volunteering to put on this program also fund it. We kick a large percentage of our earnings back to the program to provide the down payments for the buyers. These are the kind of industry professionals that you really want to work with. Not the people looking to line their own pockets with a paycheque, but the kind of people who feel fortunate to be in great industries, and want to give back to the communities that support them and their businesses. You have all heard Real Estate Horror Stories. Those typically start with industry people who are not necessarily working in the best intereasts of their clients. Sometimes knowingly making mistakes, and sometimes ignorantly. The people working within The Home Program are all well respected professionals. They are all very good at their jobs, and they have all built their businesses on repeat and referral clients. These are people with a passion for what they do, and they genuinely want good for their respective communities as well as their clients. Yes, these people do exist!!!!!!!

If you or somebody you know might be interested in purchasing a home within the next couple of years, and they want to learn about the process as well as receive a grant for down payment assistance, please have them contact myself either via phone or email in order to sign up. We will be running a program Monday and Tuesday evening, May 7th, and May 8th 2012 at the Okotoks Library. Come out, learn, and earn. The market prices are low, and it is a great time to become a home owner.

Even if your household income is high, you will still qualify for down payment assistance. There really is no catch. I know, it’s hard to believe, but it is true.
